trains will replace planes

I agree wholeheartedly with James Kunstler's observation that the airlines are dying and that America needs to start reviving the railroads AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. He correctly points out that our country and its "leadership" has its head so far up its ass that it boggles the mind. What I don't understand is why people seem to like air travel, or behave as though they are supposed to like air travel, even in cases where the alternatives make more sense, and even if in their hearts they'd rather be on a train.

two sides of the same coin

This may offend someone, but it still needs to be pointed out...

Hearing the lurid details of the Latter Day Saint "polygamy compound" presently being broken up in Texas, the following occurred to me:

The Mormon church: a religion focussed on seducing young girls.

The Catholic church: a religion focussed on seducing young boys.

They are equally demented in my book. As I've said for years, Mormonism is the re-invention of the Catholicism on New World soil, soil which is apparently more heterosexual.
