some powerful cinema

Watched "Blood Diamond" on dvd last night. Probably the best film I've seen this year next to "Babel", which has a similar feel. Both films are violent but powerful. If you can't stomach violence you may want to skip both of these. But if you like foriegn adventure, exotic locales, glimpses into the Third World and strong acting, I would recommend both.
